MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Bernice's Skillet Cornbread
 Categories: Breads, Dairy, Cheese, Chilies
      Yield: 3 servings
 
    1/2 c  Gold Metal Flour
    1/2 c  Yellow corn meal
    1/2 ts Salt
      2 ts Baking powder
      1 lg Egg; room temp
    1/2 c  Milk
      2 tb Bacon grease or butter
      1    Cast iron skillet; heated
           - with butter
    1/2 c  Grated sharp cheddar
      2    Chopped Jalapenos
 
  Combine all ingredients
  
  Use another 2 tbs bacon grease or butter to coat cast
  iron skillet
  
  Heat cast iron skillet for approx 10-15 min @
  450ºF/232ºC.
  
  Remove from oven.
  
  Pour batter into skillet.
  
  Return skillet to oven-bake 20 min.
