Subj : BH&G 3277 To : All From : Dave Drum Date : Sat Jul 10 2021 10:06:00 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Tomato-Basil Cavatelli Skillet Categories: Pasta, Vegetables, Cheese, Herbs, Chilies Yield: 4 Servings 28 oz Can whole peeled tomatoes; - undrained, cut up 12 oz Dried cavatelli, gemelli, or - rotini pasta 14 1/2 oz Can chicken broth 1/4 c Water 3 cl Garlic; minced 1 ts Dried Italian seasoning; - crushed 1/2 c Fresh basil leaves; coarse - chopped or torn 2 tb Olive oil 1/2 ts Kosher salt 1/2 ts Crushed red pepper 8 oz Sliced or shredded - mozzarella cheese In a deep large skillet layer undrained tomatoes and the next nine ingredients (through crushed red pepper) in the order listed. Do not stir. Bring to boiling over medium-high heat; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, 20 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally. Top with cheese. Cover and let stand 10 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with additional basil.
