Subj : Digital modes To : SEAN DENNIS From : Daryl Stout Date : Thu May 09 2019 12:12:00 SD>Hello Daryl, Hi, Sean... SD>I can't stand FT8 nor FT4. To me, it's the same as sending 599 and counting SD>that as a QSO. I adore Feld Hell because it's a ragchewing mode (and unique SD>amongst all digital modes). I don't mind RTTY and PSK31 either. That's like most folks do when checking into nets, as "short time, no traffic", then do the same on other nets minutes later...what I call "Hi, Bye, and QSY". I've never done Feld Hell, but I think it's becoming popular in its own right. I ran PSK31 at one time on CQ100, but am only on CQ100 now on Friday mornings for the Quarter Century Wireless Association (QCWA) CQ100 Net. I used to check into the CQ100 Hoot Owl Net in the evenings, but now, I'm involved with the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) D-Star Net, and the New Mexico D-Star Net on Thursdays. I also just put several back presentations from the CERT Net (I'm Net Control on the first Thursday for Rick, KA2BSM), into their own files area on the BBS.
