Well yes, they *are* plain text but if you look at them, you'll see  
stuff which indicates to me that the documents need compiling.

Comparing the documents against 'goldref.txt' and 'goldusr.txt' which  
I "borrowed" from elsewhere, the differences are pretty obvious :)
