An example for just _one_ echo (of many): Asian-Link (IIRC).  Look for
traffic by my friend in the Crimea (initiator of 'telegrams' use) and August
Abolins.  Telegram traffic is between Fidonet anything and (currently)
SMS-like texting on Android mobiles & tablets.
