Not that I know of.

You might need to add .txt to your tagline file. If I'm not mistaken I had to 
do that some time back. I have these three keywords in my golded.cfg for 
tagline support.

TAGLINESUPPORT YES
TAGLINECHAR .
TAGLINE @/home/alan/taglines.txt

Although I have them commented out now because my tagline file is all used up.
