i'm pretty sure it isn't janis' system, too... it may be something from the old 
school fakenet stuff used for point systems running 2D/3D capable software... 
those fakenets that used to be assigned by the IC and listed in the nodelist 
entry for those having such fakenets... i used one here for a while and i know 
that a few others from up north still use their's...
