My friend... when I first traded banter with Ward after getting the D'Bridge 
source in 2005, I was "warned" by many Sysops. Don't trust the guy, he lies, 
he was kicked out of the IC chair, he's an ass, etc etc.

So I did my research just as you do and you may recall that I told you that
with me, everyone gets "one chance". So I'm pretty fair and openminded:

- I obtained a backlog of messages in the IC echo pertaining to Zc6 and some
others that just didn't "add up" for the non-Z2 accusers.

- The Fidonews echo was a complete cesspool, worse than now... flaming is one
thing but we had a certain someone "whoes name we don't speak of" constantly
antagonise German Sysops and others with what could be consituted as
hate-speech...  whether I agree with that concept or not, it made Z1 look
bad just a bit worse than the nonstop anti-American rhetoric of their side.

- The added gas on the fire from Z1 star-systems at the time reached its peak
with their censorship of that echo of which, surprisingly, the one we don't
speak of obtained a feed with another Z2 system of total shock & surprise to
circumvent this and thus the FidoWeb was born. This was completely frowned
upon in Z1 and dismissed as a joke but myself, Ward and some others saw merit
in the idea.

- Ward and I have a gentlemen's agreement. You don't fuck me and I won't fuck 
you... we have exchanged system configs... think of that for a moment.

- We have met in person in Quebec City and had numerous international phone 
calls to shoot the shit or troubleshoot stuff that Netmail exchanges would 
have been inefficient.

I could rant longer but you get the idea.

You will find sometimes that people you think are bad, are often the opposite 
in Netmail or phone-calls.
