New virtual box

This week is a first. It's the first issue published from my new
virtual machine after I migrated from buggy, sluggish VMWare to
the much better (IMHO) Oracle Virtualbox.

   If anything goes wrong with this week's issue, you now know the
reason for it.

   It seemed like a simple task to convert from VMWare to Virtualbox
but it wasn't. Just locate OVFTool in your VMWare folder somewhere
and run 'ovftool source.vmx export.ovf' and once the process is
complete, you can import the .ovf file into VirtualBox. Use the
Import Appliance option in the File menu.

   So far so good, but many of the drivers didn't work. Some of them
really important, such as CD/DVD driver, network driver, VGA driver
and so on.

   What I should have done was to uninstall VMWare Tools *before* I
exported the virtual machine. That way VirtualBox would have installed
all the proper drivers directly on import. Now I had to manually
install the proper drivers one by one -- and sometimes that even meant
deleting stuff from the register to get it working.

   Alas, here we go...
