So you are the only sane person in this world of stupid people? Where did I 
hear that before? ;)

The MSGID standard is what it is. For whatever reason synchronet choose not to 
follow the standard. So don't be surprised that might cause some trouble on all 
other systems. Standards are there for a reason! So don't blame the others that 
follow it!
