The NP will report on any Fidonet technical issues they see fit...

However, unfortunately, compared to regular Police the NP has no power to impose fines or arrest anyone. So it's kind of a paper tiger deal. Although I sometimes get the impression, some see the public reporting as punishment.

The NP was appointed by representative members of the ZCC. The NP sees this as an appointment for live (Because of the seperation of powers the appointment can't be undone). It's like the appointment of judges on the US Supreme Court...
