Subj : Testing New Node / Echoes To : Bob Roberts From : Daryl Stout Date : Thu Dec 31 2020 18:39:00 Bob, DS> I went by there today, and ordered 10 Jumbo BBQ Pork Sandwiches, DS> and 2 orders of French Fries (their fryer is small, so it can only DS> cook 2 orders at a time). The order was $75, but I gave them a DS> $105 tip. I had taken $200 out of the bank...$20 for gas for the DS> car, and the rest I gave to them. BR> You're a good man Daryl Stout. Had COVID-19 not occurred, I'd be eating in...but they're so small, that it's call ahead/take-out only...plus they don't have a drive thru. Their slogan is "You Can't Beat Our Meat" (get your mind out of the gutter, folks )...their BBQ beef and pork is scrumptious. Plus, if they're open on Monday, you can order ribs on Tuesday. They are also so old fashioned, that they take cash only (no checks, credit, or debit cards). It's basically a small family run business, now nearly 60 years old. Since this is the season of giving, I felt I should at least do something for them. Plus, bringing home the extra food allows me to hold off on other food here, to consume when I can't get out. BR> And now I'm craving a BBQ pork sandwhich. I grazed on 2 of them earlier, plus some french fries. Microwave ovens are wonderful. I got zinged by a friend in one of the BBS Networks, when I said "I can write a batchfile for the BBS, but my programming ends at setting the clock on the microwave oven"...adding "I'll starve to death otherwise. So, he sent a picture of a microwave oven, with a clock on top of it...he got me good. :P Daryl .... I was on a roll, until I slipped on the butter. === MultiMail/Win v0.52 --- SBBSecho 3.11-Win32 * Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS - tbolt.synchro.net (1:19/33) .
