There are custom Telegram apps out there. Perhaps ine does that already.

Maybe some of those custom bots could do that?

I agree the quoting system leaves something to be desired.  Although I'm not
sure what you mean about BBS Users not cleaning up their quoting.  With
Mystic, at least, I have to select the lines that I'm quoting as I go.

Now with HotdogEd, quotes could get messy...
