They come in all shapes and sizes and colours but in the end there's only one 
version of the same OS driving them.
 
When I was gone for 3 months and asked if the oil change had been done she 
replied "Well, the light only blinks now and then".
 
Ran out, checked, dip-stick dry.
 
Or "Something banged 30 minutes ago, I saw some parts flying, now all the 
lights are red. You think something's wrong?" [that was the thermostat and 
waterpump she saw flying through the air ... drove another 60km without cooling 
.... good thing it was a Volvo]
