For me it is exactly the other way round.
As long as I do not see any evidence for the existence of a god, it is not 
logical to assume its existence.
But that is not the point ;)

I have no issue with people believing whatever they want, as long as they do 
not force their view onto others.
And accept that their view is just that ... their view.
It is not the ultimate truth.

No ... actually they GAIN.
I live my life under the assumption I have to make the most out of it, as it is 
short, and when it ends it ends.
If indeed a god exists (highly unlikely to me) and there is a live after death, 
then there is so much to learn.
So *IF* (very big if) that is the case, I will be very, very, very positively 
surprised.

a) who says that?
b) I do not blame anyone!

If a being exists that has the powers you presume, it will be neither male nor 
female.
So for me it is logical to refer to this (fictional) being as it.

You missed the most logical point.
I neither accept the notion of a god, nor do I finally reject it.
I do not have enough evidence to make a judgment on that point.

I have not seen any evidence of the existence of satan.
I have seen genetic evidence that makes the myth of Adam and Eve virtually 
impossible.
