Indeed, I was born in San Diego and lived all over the Inland Empire. Riverside, Sunnymead (before it became Moreno Valley), Victorville, Hesperia, San Bernadino (Berdoo), Highland ... and yes, some of the names are pretty funny when translated. It's much like how we use the French word "entree" for our main course; it confuses some of my French Canadian co-workers when they think that huge meal is actually an appetizer. :D I had to translate "La Bamba" to English in 9th grade in 1987. That song is amazingly silly when translated to English. :D Just like someone calling himself "rich and smooth" back in the 90s. :D Later, Sean ....
