    The election for a new Zone 1 Coordinator has started, as of May
    7th, 2018.  Please see the published schedule in the Z1C echo or
    in the Z1_ELECTION echo.

    The Z1_ELECTION echo is the place where the election is taking
    place.

    Thank you once again to Andrew and all the Zone 1 RCs who have
    worked on this.

    Thank you _also_ to Phil Kimble, 1:128/2 and Fred Riccio,
    1:132/174, for taking on the Vote Counter and Vote Verifier
    positions respectively.

    Again, best of luck to all candidates, whoever you may be.  I
    look forward to welcoming our new Z1C :)

    The nominations phase of the election is currently in effect,
    and we've seen a number of nominations.

    Please read the Z1_ELECTION echo for more details of the
