  I use a browser add-on called "Fluff Busting Purity"
(www.fbpurity.com). It allows you to get rid of all the ads, group
suggestions, and other "garbage", where you don't have to wade through a
bunch of crap to read messages. You choose what you want to see, and
what to ignore.

  Of course, Facebook doesn't like that, because it means that "you're
not seeing their ads". But, most of the ads I saw weren't even related
to me...and being on a fixed income, I can't afford all those products.

  Yes, you have to be careful about what you post, and who you add as
"Friends". But, I keep up with former classmates, family, and even
fellow BBS Sysops and ham radio operators with it.
