  I've heard that most, if not all of the analog lines are being
converted to VoIP (like what MagicJack and Xfinity have already). If
that would work for dial-up, I'd keep it...but if all the analog lines
are being ended, that might mean the end for dial-up...yet, a lot of
places still use fax lines.

  But, I've heard various stories on whether this VoIP for dial-up is
actually worth it. Yet, the crappy way that AT&T treated my Mom last
year, I'm leary about doing it.
