"Too slow" is not a criteria for whether or not a CPU will run 64-bit 
programs.  It's the CPU architecture that matters.  If it's anything 
newer than a Pentium-4, it's capable of doing 64-bit, probably.

I don't use Windows, but I'm pretty sure you can run legacy doors on 
64-bit these days.  Something to do with a 64 version of "NTVDM" or 
something similar.

But I do get the idea of not wanting to upgrade just because there's a 
new version available.  No great reason to do that on a machine being 
used to run a BBS.
