Or probably more realistically, very few people even care. The BBS software I run supports modem calls so I could still do that. I've thought about it and would do it if it would get used. I'm also unsure if I can get a twisted pair of wires like I had back in the day. A lot of phone services today are VOIP or somesuch and a modem may not work as well with that as a good old twisted pair. > Personally, I'm tempted to start a new dial-up only BBS. The average guy/gal today doesn't know what a modem is and don't care to know but if you can connect with those who do you'll be good.
