Unless Dallas is in the situation where I am: there is but one single choice
for an ISP in my area (there is satellite access 
but that's unreliable).  You either get access through this company -- in my
case, it's CenturyLink -- or you go without.  CL is 
notorious for its lousy customer service and weeks-long wait times to get
things fixed.

The reason why we don't get anything else out here is that there's not enough
customers to get government subsidies to invest in 
the physical backbone so no one bothers.
