Subj : Quitting To : Janis Kracht From : Sean Dennis Date : Wed Aug 22 2018 21:19:01 Hello Janis, My late maternal grandfather, my Grandpa Gene (who I miss terribly), quit smoking back in the 60s. He then started putting a toothpick in his mouth as part of his "cold turkey" to replace the sensation of a cigarette in his mouth. I remember when I was about eight years old I asked him why he always had a toothpick in his mouth. He told me and then he quipped "I'll die of Dutch elm disease!" Unfortunately, it was poor care from the VA and a sudden stroke that killed him. But every time I put a toothpick in my mouth, I think of my Grandpa Gene. Just a personal ancedote but here's to you quitting permanently. I lost my step-grandfather, Grandpa Lyle, to cancer caused from 40 years of smoking. Another smoking related quip from "Goldmember": Alotta Fagina: "Do you smoke after sex?" Austin Powers: "I don't know; I've never checked." Later, Sean (who knows that computers run on smoke) ....
