This was expected, as October is the time of year for the Orionids Meteor Shower [4] . Pictured here, over two dozen meteors were caught in successively added exposures last October over Wulan Hada [5] volcano in Inner Mongolia [6] , China [7] . The featured image shows multiple meteor streaks [8] that can all be connected to a single small region on the sky called the radiant [9] , here visible just above and to the left of the belt of Orion [10] , The Orionids [11] meteors started as sand sized bits expelled from Comet Halley [12] during one of its trips to the inner Solar System [13] . Comet Halley [14] is actually responsible [15] for two known meteor showers [16] , the other known as the Eta Aquarids [17] and visible [18] every May. An Orionids image featured on APOD [19] one year ago today [20] from the same location shows the same car. Next month, the Leonids Meteor Shower [21] from Comet Tempel-Tuttle [22] should also result in some bright meteor streaks.
