1.  It is way of using one's body to surf beach-breaking waves without the need 
for a board.  It takes a certain skill and lack of fear (beyond my super 
powers).  :)

2.  She changed her mind.  Then couldn't figure out why she said no initially, 
now that she is taking more time to think about the idea.
