          Hmm....

          You had some problems with English at school, or with the spelling & 
grammar critics in another echo?  Perhaps I can set your mind at ease.

          Anyone interested in learning more about English is welcome here, as 
long as they leave their high horse securely restrained outside.  This echo is 
not just for people who are learning English as a foreign language.  (Heard in 
the EdBiz:  "If you want to learn something, teach it!")  We don't draw a line 
in the sand dividing students & teachers... we often swap roles.

          I don't correct other people's spelling, grammar, or whatever unless 
they've indicated they would like me to do it... and even then I usually limit 
the number of corrections to one or two per message.  I think you'll find that 
folks here are much more interested in what you have to say than in evaluating 
how you say it.  You don't want to feel you're drowning in a sea of red ink; I 
don't want to lose sight of who you are while preoccupied with mechanics.  :-)

          Thankyou... I'm glad to hear that.  IMHO it might be fun to have two 
or three Aussies in this echo.  I've noticed elsewhere how the Aussies talk to 
one another.  I find it very interesting, entertaining, and educational.  :-))

          I attach a lot more importance to the readability of my work than to 
saving key strokes or cramming as many letters as possible onto a single line, 
but I do seem to be in the minority.  Thanks for the validation....  :-)
