          "Oops!" is an interjection expressing surprise or apology, most often 
used when the speaker (or writer) realizes s/he has made an error.

          In this case the person who made the sign was referring to a piece of 
electronic equipment which reads debit & credit cards.  The omission of the "i" 
in the word "debit" changed the meaning in such a way that it could remind some 
customers of how much money they already owe (e.g.) Visa or MasterCard....  ;-)
