Subj : degrees To : ALEXANDER KORYAGIN From : Mike Powell Date : Thu Feb 13 2020 18:09:00 > Do you measure vodka with degrees, like we do in Russia? > https://ibb.co/rpYkrdw > How many degrees has your vodka? ;-) In the United States, alcoholic beverages are measured in percentage of alcohol (for beers and malt liquors), or proof for liquors. So, back when there was such a thing as "3-2 beer," that was 3.2% alcohol by volume. Meanwhile, to figure proof, you multiply the percentage times 2. So a whiskey that is 100 proof is 50% alcohol by volume. I just check a bottle of vodka distilled and bottled right here in Kentucky. It has both percentage (40%) and proof (80) listed on the front of the bottle. I did not see anything about degrees. :( I would feel like it was more authentic if that was included. :) Mike * SLMR 2.1a * Don't worry, I'm gong tŸ b‚ckup tød…åí!&#~ --- SBBSecho 3.10-Linux * Origin: capitolcityonline.net * Telnet/SSH:2022/HTTP (1:2320/105) .
