Did you run WCSYSPW.EXE on the client machine? You have to run it regardless if there is no password. It needs to stamp the registry. Making it work is the key. Once it works, all the other clients will work. The typical barrier is a router blocking the client broadcasting when it looks for the wildcat server. To get around this, use an environment string to define the server computer name and the server IP address like so: SET WILDCATSERVER=server_netbios_computer_name SET WILDCATSERVERIP=X.Y.Z.W The IP string will tell the client to go direct and bypass the broadcasting. When the server response to the client with its connect information, it will include the server's computer name. Then the client will compare requested server name with the name returned by the server. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.1 * Origin: Prison Board BBS Mesquite Tx //telnet.RDFIG.NET www.
