Subj : Digging up weeds

Hi all,

My back yard is partly grass and partly dirt.  The dirt section (without grass)
has a bunch of weeds growing in it now, and I'm wondering what the easiest way
might be to remove it all.  Digging it all up could take some time and be
fairly tiresome.  I'm not sure if there's a better way though..

Also there are some stone tiles with some weeds growing in between, and I've
also wondered about the easist way to clean that type of thing up.  I've heard
of people dumping boiling hot water on them, which might make it easier to dig
that stuff out..  I'm still wondering if there's an easier way.
