Oh, I'm sure it's legal - the machine was bought new from a reputable store. But I did what you suggested anyway (using the yyyyy-yyyyy-yyyyy part that xpinfo showed), and Google says "About 1,260 results". So I guess it is indeed OEM. -- J. P. Gilliver.
