Subj : Doom loveliness To : All From : Keith Gibbs Date : Thu Aug 25 2016 16:00:00 Oh, I love the fact that the Doom channel is actually talking about Doom in 2016... I have been playing with Zandronum for Mac... runs very nice and quite tweakable. Brutal Doom has been my go-to as of late, although some levels are way to hard on Ultra Violence with the bumped difficulty. Still fun as hell. As with old memories, in the early-to-mid 90's, my dad's office was the next room over from my room, so he drilled a small hole in the baseboard in the wall between our room and spliced a serial cable between our PCs. He was in IT, so he always had an awesome machine and between getting hand-me-down parts, and spending all lawn-mowing/snow shoveling/gifts/etc. on upgrading my own computer, we always had nice machines and tons of games. We would play co-op and deathmatch all the damn time. It was awesome. Funny enough, my (now retired) father still games a ton. He has a Steam score higher than anyone else I know, primarily from playing L4D2 and Half-Life 2 all the time. All started with Wolfenstein and Doom...
