Yeah, Comcast upgraded to DOCSIS 3.0, promising greater speeds. The catch? They'd install a router, on MY NETWORK, that I didn't have the password to and that shared my bandwidth and IP address on their XFINITY_WIFI publicly accessible network. No thanks! It took a couple of calls, but any carrier provided equipment can be put into "bridge mode", where it passes on its IP to your equipment. --- SBBSecho 3.20-Win32 * Origin: http://realitycheckbbs.org | tomorrow's retro tech (1:218/700) .
