I have DOOM 3 and OpenArena; the effects are incredible, but the gameplay
on the old ones still entertains me -- not to mention that you don't need
to do much to make them run like gangbusters on new hardware.

Quake I was an entertaining FPS for me -- lots of hours playing multiplayer
online.
