When I got BR> a little older she would pay me to walk her dogs to give them exercise. BR> That was fun too, those long-dogs like to go off on their own. That they do. They're also stubborn (hard to housebreak), but they're very loyal to their owners. A few months after we had brought the second dachshund home (we had to have the first one put down, due to failing health), we took him back to visit the breeder...and he had "a Viagra moment" ...basically wanting to be the dominant male. The look on his face was like "Daddy!! I have a problem!! Will you help me fix it??". I was so red, and it was like "Hell, No!!" . When I told my wife and the breeder (who was 35 years older than me to the day!!) about it, they were roaring in laughter. Both of them are dead and gone now, and I re-homed the second one the day my wife died. This couple I know have a spoiled dachshund, and when he hears my voice on the phone, he starts barking...as if to demand to know WHY I'm not over there!! Daryl .... Have a Tex-Mex Emergency??
