Subj : Japanese Common Sense 4/ To : Bob Klahn From : Lee Lofaso Date : Thu Jul 18 2013 14:54:06 >>> Continued from previous message >LL>11) In the majority of companies it is stated in the >LL>regulations that no Muslims should apply for a job. BK>Just like No Irish Need apply in this country early in BK>the last century. I doubt you could get a job with most BK>Japanese companies, not in Japan. Teaching English as a Second Language is a field where most Americans find jobs in Japan. The job itself is a "teacher's aide", with lousy pay, and no housing or food allowance. Japanese companies who hire Americans for those jobs provide some help in finding accomodations, but that help is very limited (a list of places to look). The applicant is offered a one-year contract, with the possibility to renew. Airfare is not included. I have a cousin who did that gig. Made it through one year, but not quite a second. Went nuts. Scared the living bejeezus out of everybody, not just the kids. You have to remember, Japanese are very superstitious. And when Japanese see a young man hallucinating in a grade school classroom full of kids, they think he is possessed. Authorities had to take him away. But even that didn't work, as the inmates in the asylum thought he was possessed. Have you ever been inside an insane asylum? We have nice mental institutions here in America, with lots of shrinks available for patients. Not so in Japan. Their accomodations are much more primitive. Kind of like what our mental institutions were like back in the 19th century. I know this because his parents refused to go get him. And since nobody else volunteered to do so, somebody had to do it. After signing him out of the nuthouse, authorities gave us a ride to the airport. They made sure he got on the airplane, and seemed very relieved knowing he was on his way back home to America. >LL>12) The Japanese government is of the opinion that Muslims >LL>are fundamentalist and even in the era of globalization >LL>they are not willing to change their Muslim laws. BK>I'm sure they tell that to the leaders of Indonesia and BK>Malaysia all the time. Our laws are based on Christianity, as America is a Christian nation. The laws of Egypt are based on Islam, as Egypt is a Muslim country. The laws of Israel are based on Judaism, as Israel is a Jewish nation. Japan is a non-Jewish, non-Christian, non-Islamic state. As such, nobody should expect Japan's laws to be based on Judaism, Christianity, or Islam. >LL>13) Muslims cannot even think about renting a house in >LL>Japan. BK>Could you? I could think about it. Maybe even dream about it. But actually renting a house in Japan would be out of the question. Much better to do like Woodie Guthrie and be a hobo. That way, all my lodging would be free. >LL>14) If anyone comes to know that his neighbour is a Muslim >LL>then the whole neighbourhood stays alert. BK>Not unless he is an Islamic Yakuza. I'll know if he is missing a pinkie. >LL>15) No one can start an Islamic cell or Arabic 'Madrasa' in >LL>Japan. BK>Islamic Cell? Is that like a prison cell? I suspect some BK>of the Mosques in Japan do have their religious schools. Mosques are for praying. Religious schools are for learning. Apprenticeships are for suicide bomber wannabes. >LL>16) If a Japanese woman marries a Muslim then she is >LL>considered an outcast forever. BK>If a Japanese woman marries any foreigner she is considered BK>an outcast. The foreigner is considered gaijin, the woman his concubine. >>> Continued to next message * SLMR 2.1a * Why not whip the teacher when the pupil misbehaves? --- Maximus 3.01 * Origin: Xaragmata / Adelaide SA telnet://xaragmata.mooo.com (3:800/432) .
