Carlson, of the Carlson Raiders spent a lot of time with them and liked the no real leader concept - something his fellow Marine officers would never buy. These later groups said if we would have sided with Mao et al after WWII it might have possible to keep them from going hard core commie when the finally did take over? Who knows for sure?
