 The IRS thing started in 2010. The former director of the IRS was
 appointed by Bush for a 5 year term that ended in Nov 2012.

 No, they took orders from the Bush appointed director of the IRS, Douglas
 Shulman. That's due to a change in the law after Nixon, when the IRS was
 given independent status with a director appointed for 5 years, to carry
 over without political removal.

 RW> Then there is the Obama appointed IRS commisnioner, Steven
 RW> T. Miller. As the acting IRS commissioner since November he
 RW> announced his resignation Wednesday at the request of
 RW> Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew.

 He is a sacrificial lamb because Shulman was in office when the IRS
 actions started.
