The thesis that Russian troops enter Ukraine to eat civilians, make them 
slaves, put into detention camps etc is wrong. Any civilians are safe 
until some guys set up machine-guns in their houses. So called 
"defenders" appeared to be the main danger for them. But it explicable 
easily -- all the "defended" areas had a pro-Russian population. They 
could greet Russian troop unless the Ukrainians with right national 
orientation "defend" them.
