No private echolist has any official status in fidonet.
As such, Thom LaCosta was never in charge of anything.
And neither is the present monkey, Ben Ritchey.

It is all a ruse.  A deception, designed to give the
powers that be within zone 1 the appearance of having
a real say in who is, and is not, allowed to have and
maintain an echo in fidonet.

If you want to be a monkey for Ross Cassell, go ahead.
Nobody is stopping you.  Least of all me.  Make yourself
dictator of as many echoes as Ross Cassell will allow
you to have.  Doesn't that make you feel like a big man?

Well, I've got news for you -

I do not need Ross Cassell's permission for anything.
Not in this world.  Or the next (if there is one).
