Subj : Biscuits was: Olives To : Shawn Highfield From : Ruth Haffly Date : Wed Mar 26 2025 15:58:16 Hi Shawn, RH> Makes sense to me. I'd rather cook ahead and have a meal that just RH> needs reheating than to cook for one from scratch. Some of the nights SH> For sure. RH> Steve has a meeting with supper included, I'll stop at Wegman's and RH> pick up something for myself. A couple of weeks it was an udon bowl RH> beef and a couple of egg rolls--since he had 2 nights out, I split it RH> over those 2 nights and had a good meal with minimal fuss both RH> nights. SH> That's the way to do it for sure! I will be doing this more this year SH> when I go to the trailer Thursday night. When it's just me I don't SH> often feel like BBQing or anything else. Most of the meals I've frozen to take with us will be "in camp" ones, to be used when we're in place for a few days. Nights we're on the road we tend to do basics like soups or sandwiches since we're usually boondocking (no hook ups for water, electricity). If we're boondocking at a Cracker Barrel (yes, they allow it), we usually go in for supper that night, or, sometimes, breakfast the next morning. Depends on how much travel we have planned for the day, usually we'll do a fast breakfast so we can get on the road quicker. SH>> 50 years is a big one for sure! I've only been alive 2 more SH> SH>> years then you've been married. RH> We started young. (G) SH> LOL! SH> SH>> No one complains about a hamburger stew. RH> Especially the way we make it--have done so for our church small RH> group and had a lot of positive feedback. SH> It's one of those things that even a bad one is still good. LOL It's hard to make a bad one, but to do one that stands out takes a bit more planning. SH> SH>> Of course. There are other brands, just johnsonville was cheap. RH> I see; we usually don't buy it. I'll have to check out the RH> ingredients listing. SH> There's a store brand that is gluten free here, I've just switched to SH> getting it. I don't mind though as I don't really like some of the SH> crazy additives that are allowed down south. Understandable, we don't like a lot of chemicals and unpronounceable stuff in our food either. --- Catch you later, Ruth rchaffly{at}earthlink{dot}net FIDO 1:396/45.28 .... It works!
