Subj : Obamacare To : ALL From : BOB KLAHN Date : Thu Feb 03 2011 21:52:10 RS>> Yeah, stick with the GOP plan. RS>> "Die quickly." EH> I see you subscribe to the Grayson school of EH> misinformation. Al Grayson lost his House seat for a reason. The real GOP plan is Die Quietly. EH> The GOP plan is to make it possible to buy insurance across EH> state lines, making it easier for people to set up personal EH> medical savings accounts, tort reform to reduce frivolous EH> and overpriced lawsuits, and reducing government EH> interference with individual decisions. All of which does zero good for the uninsured, who are predominatly the working poor. What good are Health Savings Accounts to those who no money to put into it, and don't pay enough taxes to benefit from tax credits? You can already buy insurance across state lines. What they want is to make the lowest state standards the national standard. For congress to mandate all states allow insurance at the lowest standard is a major usurpation of states rights. Tort reform is just a way to save money for the insurance companies. Until they will tell you how much money frivolous lawsuits actually cost this country it's all a fraud. Their real intention is to limit legitimate lawsuits. Oh, and countries with national health care don't have our malpractice problems, without tort reform. Most malpractice suits are to cover future medical bills for the malpractice. Since National Health care guarantees coverage, there is no such cost burden. The majority of Americans support national health care. Most even support Obamacare, with limited reservations. Most just want it tweaked, not abolished.
