Subj : WHY GAS PRICES ARE RE To : ALL From : BOB KLAHN Date : Sun Mar 13 2011 20:30:56 ... JB>> But at the end of the day they will still pull the level for him in the JB>> voting booth. JH> My mother, while nominally a Republican, has always been JH> proud of the fact that she votes for the man, not the JH> party. I reminded her that no matter how good the man JH> might be, if he's a Democrat he does what the party tells JH> him to do, or gets thrown under the bus because its their JH> way or the highway. It's not nice to mislead your mother. Notice how the Blue Dog democrats did *NOT* do what the party wanted, and they not only did not get thrown under the bus, but got advantages? Notice how the republicans who did not do what the party wanted got thrown under the bus? I said before the election that the Tea Party would be responsible for more repubican defeats than the democrats would. So the Tea Party not only nominated whack job candidates that could not get elected, but also ran candidates who beat out real republicans. The Blue Dog Democrats, the ones who were more independent, got hit bad by the Tea Party, as did conservative democrats in general. Yet the democratic party supported even the Blue Dog democrats, while the republican party demanded toe the line lock step to get support. JH> I don't think she ever thought about JH> it like that before. Never too late to learn something, JH> even at 81. Even if it's false?
