Agree absolutely with that last.

Also as regards to trade with China.

I once had a decent quality Presto pressure cooker.

Current model made in China.

Given a good beating now and then it works after a fashion in retaining
pressure due to its shoddy thin stamped aluminum lid design.

The old one was cast aluminum and always gave good service.
