I don't know for a fact, but I suspect that this new service "for the users" is also providing a "service" to their AI development in the form of more information to feed into their AI models. So, yeah, it could be fishy. OTOH, if that is not the case, they may not necessarily be invading your privacy. If the bot only analyzes your messages when you open your Inbox, or only then if you ask it to, and isn't sharing that information with anyone/thing but you, then it is probably not much more than an advanced search agent.
