When I was in school that was *mostly* true. There were certain "types" of kids that they either were not allowed to do too much to, or they just went easier on them "because." If they caused enough trouble, or were a threat to do physical harm, they did get handled, though. I do remember one kid who was sort of a school friend of mine who started having behavioral problems and got kicked out. IIRC, he didn't do anything violent, just got to where he would not listen to any authority figures. This was in Grade 4. That was when I learned there was a "BD school" that kids like him went to (IIRC, BD = Behavior Disability, or Behavior and Discipline). > The current system is literally training kids that they can do anything > they want with no consequences. Great education for when they get out > into the real world.. Indeed. I do know that a neighbor kid also got kicked out of what I presume is the local elementary school. The (grand)parents had to make different arrangements for the kid, and the kid seemed to be home a lot when you would normally expect a kid to be in school. So I guess that some school districts do still have some standards.
