For me, the last DOS and the best was MS-DOS 7.1 that came with Win98SE.  I 
still have installation CDs for about 3x Win98 PCs.

Somewhere I have the MS-DOS 5.xx floppies, which are probably unreadable even 
if I did have a working 5.25" FDD.  I think there may be a bootable DOS 5.xx CD 
but I haven't seen that since last century.  :)
