It's more than just a chatterbot. (I do remember getting fooled by some BBSes that had chatbots to think you were chatting with the sysop.) But I take back my remark about ChatGPT replacing Google. As is sits now, Google basically collects the aggregate of a variety of sources for searches, and YOU decide where you want to go. But ChatGPT's answers are most likely sourced from one-sided pre-established sources. "GPT" stands for "Generative Pre-trained Transformer" I only watched two videos on how a typical UI session works. Very interesing. Apparently you can ask it full questions and continue the process with related questions to fine-tune an answer. It can even write or correct code, or write college essays, etc. I can't believe how large its userbase has grown in such a short time. I'm guessing that most people just it for entertainment and see how it handles controversial topics. OpenAI might be a stock to watch though. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.57 * Origin: Mobile?
