  I was thinking it would be laminate, but I'd try my hand at
  carving through it and into the wood.  Leaving some of the
  ivory as accent.  I'd probably turn it into the white king
  or queen in a chess set I'm carving for a freind of mine.

  Amazing how much stuff we end up with isn't it?  I got rid
  of garbage bin loads of it plus trips to the dump and I
  still have an insane amount of crap in both this apartment
  and my friends basement.
