Nearly all of my 5.25" disks were flippys. I first used a train conductors 
ticket punch to nibble the notch at the proper location. Then one of the 
specialist suppliers of floppy disks offered the notcher at a good price (free 
with minimum purchase IIRC) and the rest, as they say, is now overwritten.
